Mark a form, send button or field by clicking

If Formleak misses a form, or counts the wrong button or field, open your page and click it.

Formleak finds forms by itself, but some websites build them in unusual ways. You can point at the right element yourself, without code.

  1. Open your website in Formleak and go to the Setup tab. Under Click to track, paste the address of the page and click Open page and click.
  2. Your page opens with a small Formleak toolbar at the top. Choose Form, Send button or Ignore field.
  3. Click the element on your page. For a form, give it the name you want to see in Formleak. Tick Only on this page if it should only apply here.
  4. Click Done, then Refresh list on the Setup tab to see what you marked. It reaches your website within about five minutes.
  • Form: an area Formleak should treat as a form, for example a quote widget built without a form tag.
  • Send button: the button people press to send, if Formleak doesn't notice the form being sent.
  • Ignore field: a field that shouldn't count, like a search box or a newsletter tick box inside your form.

The Formleak code needs to be on that page. The link works for two hours, and only on your own website. You can remove anything you marked on the Setup tab. Developers can add the same markers in code, see markers for developers.
