Terms of Service
Last updated:
The rules for using Formleak, in plain words.
1. The service
Formleak (“we”) is provided by [PLACEHOLDER: company name], [PLACEHOLDER: address]. It shows website owners (“you”) how visitors move through the forms on their websites, which field makes them give up, and a suggested fix.
By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Free trial and subscription
- Each new website starts with a free trial of 14 days. You don't need to pay anything during the trial.
- After the trial, Formleak is a monthly subscription per website, at [PLACEHOLDER: price per website per month], paid through [PLACEHOLDER: payment provider].
- Subscriptions renew every month until you cancel. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Your subscription then ends at the end of the month you already paid for; we don't refund partial months unless the law requires it.
Deleting a website or your whole account (see the Privacy Policy) also ends its subscription and permanently deletes its data.
4. Acceptable use
You may only:
- install the Formleak tracker on websites you own or are allowed to manage,
- use Formleak in line with the law, including privacy and consumer law where your visitors live.
You may not:
- try to make Formleak capture what visitors type, or send personal data to Formleak in form or field names, page paths or any other way,
- send fake or automated events, overload the service, or try to get around its limits or security,
- use Formleak to build profiles of individual people.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, after telling you why where we reasonably can.
5. Mentioning Formleak in your privacy policy
For your visitors' data you decide why it's collected, and we process it on your behalf. You must tell your visitors in your own privacy policy that you use Formleak to measure how your forms are used, without cookies and without recording what they type. [PLACEHOLDER: link to the data processing agreement]
6. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Formleak available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be online or error-free. We may change or improve features; if we remove something important you pay for, we'll tell you in advance.
7. Liability
Formleak gives you insights and suggestions; you decide what to change on your website. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost sales), and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of [PLACEHOLDER: jurisdiction]. Questions? Email [PLACEHOLDER: contact email]. See also our Privacy Policy.
