Which forms Formleak tracks
Every form is found automatically, including multi-step forms, app-style pages, web components, rich text boxes and custom dropdowns.
You don't tag anything. Formleak looks for forms when the page loads and keeps watching, so forms that appear later (in a popup, a step of a wizard, or a page that changes without reloading) are found too.
- Normal forms, and app-style forms built without a form tag (like many React and Vue sites).
- Multi-step forms: each step is followed, and you can link steps into a journey.
- Forms inside web components (shadow DOM).
- Rich text boxes, custom dropdowns, and choice cards or toggle buttons.
What's left out on purpose
Search boxes, add-to-cart buttons and country, language or currency pickers are forms in the code but not forms people fill in, so they'd only clutter your list. Formleak skips them. Password managers and hidden fields are skipped too.
Missing a form, or counting the wrong button? Mark it by clicking, no code needed. Developers can also add a few optional markers in code, see markers for developers.
